KWAN YIN CLINIC is a Traditional Chinese Medicine & Integrative Holistic Therapies clinic that has been established since 2004. It was my vision to create a holistic healing clinic where a myriad of modalities were available to meet the needs of each individual.

My vision is to help each person on their healing path to awaken to their true self. It is only from this place that we can feel wholeness and experience true healing. I am here to support you on this journey.

Treatments

Functional Medicine Therapies

Functional Medicine uses old-fashioned careful listening to individual patient needs and combines it with advanced laboratory testing and diagnostics that focus on Optimum Health standards. This treatment focuses on finding the root cause of disease and choosing the most supportive and natural approach to achieve radiant health. Many difficult, mysterious and resistant conditions can be reversed without the use of toxic medications by guiding the patient in personalized dietary & lifestyle habits and using high quality supplements and herbal medicines. By combining the ancient wisdom of Oriental medicine & herbal therapy with modern diagnostics & nutrient optimization we weave a comprehensive treatment plan that far exceeds the effectiveness of each system on it’s own. Sarah combines Oriental Medicine principles, holistic nutrient health optimization, Functional Medicine assessment & diagnostics, Registered Nursing training and years of Natural Foods industry experience to bring you a complete path of Optimum Health and Wellness.

NAET Allergy Elimination Technique

This treatment uses the fundamentals of Oriental Medicine, Chiropractic, Kinesiology and Nutrition to eliminate allergies and sensitivities from the body. Allergy: (It’s more than you think!) : A condition of unusual sensitivity of one individual to one or more substances which may be harmless or even beneficial to the majority of other individuals. An allergen can be anything; including an inhalant, ingestant, contactant, injectant, infectant, a physical agent (like weather), genetic factor, mold/fungi, or an emotional factor. *90% of the population has a sensitivity, an intolerance, or allergy to something which brings their body (EMF) out of harmony. “There is hardly any human disease or condition in which allergic factors are not involved directly or indirectly.”

Oriental Medicine

What is Chinese Medicine? Chinese medicine is a comprehensive system of health care that has been used for over 4000 years. It includes acupuncture, Chinese herbology, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, tuina, and dietary /nutrition/ lifestyle principles. Chinese medicine works with the energetic aspect of the body (life force) which is called Qi (Chi).  This system of energy runs through the body along pathways called meridians.  This network communicates with other energy centers and affects the physical health of the body.

What is Chinese Herbal Medicine? Chinese herbal medicine has been around for more than 4000 years and is based on a long history of empirical observation and many centuries of clinic trials. Herbs are gentler than pharmaceutical drugs and work in a synergistic way. The components of an herb work together and balance each other so that side effects are minimal and rare. Herb-Drug interactions are rare but be sure to tell your practitioner all the pharmaceuticals you are taking. About our Herbs: Chinese herbal medicine is comprised of over 5000 substances (plant, mineral, and animal). We carry over 250 different herbs, most of them in a concentrated freeze dried form. The prescriptions that are used are traditional formulas or they are tailored to meet your specific needs. Our herbs are of the highest quality and purchased from the first company to process concentrated single herbs in China. These products are formally imported and inspected by the FDA and are tested by independent US laboratories and exceed all FDA and GMP standards.

Cosmetic Acupuncture/Skin Rejuvenation Acupuncture

This form of acupuncture has been used in China for thousands of years and was reserved for the Emperor and his court. Cosmetic Acupuncture is a holistic approach to looking and feeling younger. It promotes the circulation of Qi and blood to nourish the skin, treating the whole body and healing from the inside out. It promotes collagen production for improved muscle tone and elasticity; reduces wrinkles and fine lines; reverses the signs of sun damage; reduces sagginess, puffiness, and drooping; and brings vitality back to the skin. Because the treatment also includes a constitutional diagnosis, it addresses the individual’s core imbalances. This is true whole body health. Sarah is certified in several Facial Rejuvenation modalities with over 17 years of experience. These treatments can also include the powerful add-ons of Facial Soundscapes Sound Healing, Light Therapy, Facial Cupping/Gua Sha/Massage. It also includes organic skincare products by Dr.Hauschka and Sacred Skin.

Acutonics® Sound Healing

Acutonics® is a healing modality that uses precision calibrated tuning forks placed on specific acupuncture points to achieve balance of the body’s energy. These tuning forks carry the frequency of different planetary bodies that are healing to us. The Acutonics® system is based on Oriental medicine and the Music of the Spheres. The vibration of the forks goes directly into the body to heal and balance at a deep, cellular level. Our bodies are made up of over 70% water and the frequency of sound travels quickly thru water to affect each individual cell.

What is the Music of the Spheres?

It is an ethereal music supposed by Pythagoras and other early mathematicians to be produced by the movements of the heavenly bodies (the planets). The music made by the cosmos itself.

Crystal Wands

Crystal wands are special combinations of healing stones that are used on the end of the tuning forks and when activated will send their intended vibration into the body to facilitate the balancing process.

Planetary Essential Oils

Specific formulas of essential oils are applied to acupuncture points to enhance and increase the intention of the treatment. (Please notify practitioner of any sensitivities.)

Tibetan Singing Bowls

Tibetan Singing Bowls are made of different metals that carry particular vibrations. The bowls carry within them the sacred sound of OM. It is said that OM connects one to the heavens and the earth, aligning one to all of the universe. Creating perfect balance.

What does a session entail?

Chinese medicine is used to arrive at a diagnosis that takes into consideration the patient’s signs/symptoms and their individual constitution. The treatment plan may include tuning forks, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Tibetan bells, a Planetary gong, crystal wands or Planetary essential oils. The patient can be sitting for the treatment, but usually it is done lying down.

Points along the back and the front of the patient are usually chosen. You are able to hear as well as feel the harmonics. A session takes about an hour and it is usually quite relaxing and centering.

I am located in Asheville, North Carolina. Treatments/consultations can be in-person or virtual depending on the treatment and needs.

A teacher can not give you the truth. The truth is already inside you. You need only to open your body, mind, and heart.
